At Strandhotel Hohenzollern, we place great importance on ensuring that all our guests, regardless of physical limitations, can enjoy a comfortable and accessible stay. Here is some important information and adjustments we have made for guests with limited mobility:

• Access and facilities: Our hotel and restaurant area is accessible via a ramp at the hotel entrance on Gorch-Fock-Straße. We offer barrier-free access to all public areas with the exception of the sauna, which is accessible via a step.

• Handicapped accessible rooms: We have specially equipped double rooms and suites that offer the following amenities:

  • Level-access showers with grab rails and seating.
  • Grab rails on both sides of the toilet and a hand shower height that can be adjusted with one hand.
  • Shower stool and toilet attachment are available on request.

• Dimensions for better orientation:

  • Our elevator has a footprint of 90 cm x 140 cm, which provides sufficient space for wheelchairs.
  • The external ramp is 130 cm wide and has a level platform for easy access.
  • The height of the toilet seats is 45 cm, and the accessible height of the washbasins is 66 cm.
  • The beds are at a height of 52 cm to facilitate access.
