Borkum sheep farm
For over twenty years, the Borkumer Schnuckenschäferei, a proud partner of our hotel, has been breeding moorland sheep and, since 2023, Rauhwollige Pommersche Landschafe. The aim of the Schnuckenschäferei is to preserve and promote these rare and endangered sheep breeds. The animals are slaughtered and processed sustainably on Borkum, with the hides and wool being produced in local factories according to old traditions. The high-quality meat products from the sheep farm, produced by a local organic butcher, offer our guests an authentic piece of the Borkum way of life and nature conservation. Experience this deep connection to nature and regional tradition with us.
